The Alcoaxarquia group reinforces its commitment to custard apple

Alcoaxarquía has signed a production and marketing collaboration agreement in Spain with the Barranco del Cigarral cooperative, located in the town of Molvízar and dedicated to the production of custard apple. With this alliance, the group from Vélez-Málaga reinforces its production line of this fruit in the south of the province of Granada (Spain). An environment whose geographical and geological characteristics are ideal for the cultivation of custard apples, to which the Spanish group applies its consolidated methodology in the control of production based on the monitoring of sap analytics, and knowledge and control of the growth process, as well as its subsequent maturation, resulting in products that reach the market in the best organoleptic and food safety conditions for consumption.

The agreement will allow the Alcoaxarquía group to reach a production and marketing of 2,000 tons of custard apple in the 2024-2025 campaign, both in the national market, faithful to this fruit, and in Europe, where the group distributed since years ago, and reinforces the tropical line in which the firm is a benchmark in the sector.
